Walter is a bantam rooster. He is likely only around 5 months old and has not started crowing yet. He has not been tested negative for Salmonella Pullorum and Avian Influenza however, he is the progeny of a negative tested flock and the Dept of Agriculture is comfortable with us adopting him out as such. Most towns have ordinances regarding keeping poultry, especially roosters, and you may need to obtain a permit to own them so you will need to check with your board of health in your town before you consider adoption. If you are interested in adoption please bring photos of your coop when you come to meet him.
